Yet our housing system fails to deliver for many low-income individuals and families who are locked out of home ownership and private rental due to affordability. In fact, in 2022 the Rental Affordability Index identified Adelaide as overtaking Greater Sydney as the second least affordable capital city due to rising rents and slow-income growth.
