The Westside team were sad to hear of the recent passing of Felicity Rai, who edited and wrote for our tenant led publication Inside Westside for over 7 years. Her loss will be felt by the Westside community and Inside Westside won’t be the same without her guidance.
As well as her voluntary work with Inside Westside, Felicity contributed to many Westside events and consultation activities and was always ready to share her knowledge and support other tenants.
Felicity was involved with Inside Westside from its establishment. Under her leadership, it won an award for best Tenant Led Initiative as the National Australasian Housing Industry (AHI) Awards in 2021.
Felicity was interested in world events and social justice and led a remarkable life as a journalist, author and editor for a number of different publications before ‘retiring’ to take on a number of voluntary roles, including with Westside Housing. Westside has been very fortunate to have Felicity on board as a volunteer and she will be missed.
