A home is more than just a physical structure. It is the cornerstone of daily life and an entry point for engaging with the world.
Yet our housing system fails to deliver for many low-income individuals and families who are locked out of home ownership and private rental due to affordability. In fact, in 2019 the Rental Affordability Index identified Adelaide as overtaking Greater Sydney as the second least affordable capital city due to rising rents and slow-income growth.
Who we are
Westside Housing is a South Australian not-for-profit community housing provider based in West Hindmarsh.
We provide subsidised rental housing to eligible people on very low to moderate incomes, who are unable to access the private market.
Westside Housing is a charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and registered as a professional community housing provider under the National Regulatory System for Community Housing (NRSCH).
