Administration Officer – Property Management (part-time)

Job description

At Westside Housing we are passionate about housing people. 

Everyone has a right to a home and it is our job, alongside government and other agencies, to make that a reality.

Westside Housing is an award-winning, values based not-for-profit housing organisation providing affordable rental properties to people who are locked out of the private market.

We own 450 homes and are poised to launch a property management service for private landlords to support our work.

About the role

Our housing team focus on tenants and this role provides administrative support to help plan and organisation their work and ensure our record keeping is accurate and up to date.  Key tasks include:

  1. Daily rent receipting and water charging;
  2. Administrative support for leases and inspections;
  3. Assistance with tenancy applications and offers (office based);
  4. Maintaining tenancy database (ingoing tenants etc)
  5. Correspondence and liaison with tenants and applicants
  6. Providing a kind and professional customer service

About you

To be successful in this role you will be adaptable, self motivated and be able to work in an environment with competing demands and a varied workload.   You will be an enthusiastic team player, have an eye for detail and be a whiz at administration.  You will need to have:

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be organised and be able to manage competing tasks at any one time
  • Experience with databases and spreadsheets (ie tenancy software)
  • Preferably have experience or qualifications in Real Estate or community housing (not essential).
  • A positive attitude and the capacity to embrace change and look for efficient ways of doing things
